I have had wanderlust ever since high school, when I imagined all the places I wanted to go and things I wanted to see. Turn the pages a few (several) years, and I’ve been lucky enough to experience many of those places and moments I once dreamed about. Much of that travel happened before kids, but one of my greatest joys has been sharing that love of travel with my children, Jack (22) and Ava (18).
Over the years, we’ve seen and done far more together than I ever experienced at their ages, and as they’ve grown, so has the way we travel. What started as family trips planned around naps and schedules has evolved into shared adventures, new perspectives, and watching them discover the world in their own way. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see that sense of wanderlust take hold in them, too.
